  Even better, the price of the bike was about $200 cheaper than I found elsewhere and accessories were 50% less or better (i.e. $25 for a bottle at another bike store, $8 here).

  The guy who sold me the bike (Raymond, I think) was awesome. He didn't try to push me into anything more expensive than I was looking at and when I asked about the cheapest he was happy to show me the differences without pushing me to the more expensive ones. He showed me a heap of accessories and according to all the cycling sites they were all accessories I need so his advice was right on. Again, he didn't try to push the expensive ones and even mentioned a couple of cheaper ones with better features. I did balk at the idea of lycra shorts even though he urged me to consider them... I hate to admit it but after my first ride I think he was right.

  Without my asking he installed everything on it while I waited (for free!) and showed me all the stuff I'll need to know (bikes have changed since I was on a BMX, apparently). Finally, he helped me disassemble it and get it into the car even though by that time the shop should have been closed.
